Youth Club Board of Directors

horse-35Lily Martinelli – President

Hi. I’m Lily Martinelli, and I’ve been riding for about seven years.  I’m a senior at Monarch High School.  I am a jumper and I compete with my Swedish Warmblood, Leeta.  I also have a young Arabian, Tip, that I show in Western Pleasure, and this spring we had our first foal born. I am so excited to work with him as he grows!  In addition to my work with horses, I love to ski here in Colorado.

Lauren Bertelson – Vice President

Hi, my name is Lauren Bertelson and I am 17 years old. I have been riding horses for about 5 years. I ride a 16 year old thoroughbred named Chili. I have only done English riding so far. I primarily ride for fun and do a little but of jumping. In addition to riding, I also love playing the violin and taking photos.

Fiona Lovejoy – Director

Hi, my name is Fiona Lovejoy and I am going into my freshman year of high school at Shining Mountain. I have been riding for 8 years with  my main focus in hunter jumpers and equitation. Last October, I got a six year old OTTB named Woody. I am very interested in natural horsemanship and am looking forward to helping train my trainer’s yearling in the coming year. Aside from riding, I play basketball for my school.

Madeline Williams – Director

Hi! My name is Madeline Williams. I am 16 years old. Even though I don’t live on a farm, I enjoy anything to do with horses, even if it’s mucking. I do all sorts of western showing with a 16 year old quarter horse named Oliver. I am also currently working on dressage with my 21 year old quarter horse, “Vested in Sheen”. My personal favorite activities include barrel racing, trail riding, and ranch work. I hope to open my own barn where kids with the same dream as me can escape to. I’m so happy to be a part of BCHAY, and I hope to set an example for young kids in the horse world.
