The Colorado Cowboy Gathering is dedicated to exploring, presenting and preserving the diverse and dynamic cultural heritage of the American West. CCG is an organization that believes in a world where a handshake means something and that the Code of the West is a powerful way to teach our children to live a life of integrity, commitment and respect. CCG celebrates the wisdom, artistry and ingenuity of Western folkways through exhibitions, area-wide outreach educational programs, and a premier annual event held in January – a vital link to the past, present and future, and where the traditions of the cowboy and the Code of the West are shared through stories, poetry, song and verse.

Sporting Day of Traditional Driving

Thistle Hill Farm 2072 Summit Street, Franktown, Colorado

A fun and educational day celebrating carriages, horses and the lifestyle of traditional driving. Competitors must be members of the Colorado Driving Society. Entries are due by June 4th. The event is open to horses, mules and ponies.  Erik and Mary Jensen of Thistle Hill Farm have been hosting this event since 2004.
