  • Sporting Day of Traditional Driving

    Thistle Hill Farm 2072 Summit Street, Franktown, Colorado

    A fun and educational day celebrating carriages, horses and the lifestyle of traditional driving. Competitors must be members of the Colorado Driving Society. Entries are due by June 4th. The event is open to horses, mules and ponies.  Erik and Mary Jensen of Thistle Hill Farm have been hosting this event since 2004.

    National Western strives to strengthen American agriculture through enrichment programs and youth education in livestock, equestrian, farming, ranching, animal awareness, and appreciation. We celebrate western lifestyles, our communities, and provide life-long memories and family traditions. 2026 marks the 120th year and coincides with the grand opening of two new facilities: The Legacy and Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Livestock Center.

  • Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale

    Temple Grandin Equine Center 725 S Overland Trail, Fort Collins, CO, United States

    The Legends of Ranching program is an immersive, experiential learning model for CSU Equine Sciences students. Through LOR, students engage directly with equine industry partners, established ranches, and consignors while applying natural horsemanship training principles in the colt development process. The nine-month program culminates with this Performance Horse Sale, held annually at CSU in Fort Collins.
