April 26: Trail Work Project at Heil Valley Ranch

Come on out and give something back to our wonderful open spaces!

Join the Boulder County Horse Association (BCHA) and the Boulder Area Trails Coalition (BATCO) for a day of restoration! This area at the Heil Ranch was dramatically impacted by September’s flooding. Volunteers will be reconstructing Heil Valley Ranch’s trails with hand tools to facilitate the opening of trails in the southern end of the park. There might be a significant amount of hiking along the Wapiti Trail, so please come ready to work outside and to be on the move.
Date: Saturday, April 26th

Project Duration: 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Volunteer Meet-up Location: Geer Canyon Parking Lot
NOTE: this lot is still closed to the public, so it is very important that you arrive on time.  The gate will close and no one will be allowed in after we begin.

What to bring:
Work gloves, water, a hat, outerwear layers, and sunscreen!  The minimum age is 12 years old with adult supervision.
Snacks provided. Please plan on bringing any other food you might need.
