A few years ago I was lucky enough to be part of the management for the Rocky Mountain Dream Ride at Snow Mountain Ranch-YMCA of the Rockies near Granby Colorado. Jill Talbot, Jane Young and I managed this NATRC Region 3 ride—boy was it fun! This years ride will be September 19-20 and is again a Type A, two day ride. All riders and guests will enjoy Snow Mountain Ranch’s 5,100 acres with beautiful views of  the Continental Divide. Camp is at an elevation of 9,000 feet so come prepared. One year we had a snow storm and a few riders were not fully prepared. A rider got lost in the storm and wound up taking sanctuary at the Chapel where she and her horse were taken in by the Chaplain until we could get a trailer out to her. Weather can be unpredictable at this elevation, so come prepared and ride prepared. For more information about this ride and NATRC rules please visit them online.
