I just returned from the showing at the Dairy—wow—get out and see it!
This movie is cinematically brilliant. The characters intertwine and the metaphorical
play hilarious. Don’t miss this first film from director Benedikt Erlingsson. I was fortunate enough to catch it tonight with a talk back. Iceland you produced a winner!
Ever photogenic Iceland sets the stage for a country romance about the human streak in the horse and the horse in the human. Love and death become interlaced and with immense consequences,as the fortunes of the people are seen through the horses’ perception.
“Benedikt Erlingsson’s magnificently rugged-looking film offers darkly comic mishaps that play out over a series of sly vignettes.”
