Summer Heritage Evening at the Walker Ranch Homestead on July 20

From Boulder County Information:

Boulder County, Colo. – Join us for an evening of fun at Walker Ranch Homestead. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic supper to enjoy and are asked to remember to bring a blanket as there are no tables at the homestead.  After a picnic, visitors can talk with costumed volunteers to see what fun and chores pioneers experienced in the 1880s.

Visitors will be able to play children’s games of the past — those enjoyed by pioneer settlers as well as by Native American children. Guest can also check out the log house where popcorn should be popping, join the sing-along in the wagon barn, help churn butter and do washboard laundry.  Visitors can also see a few visiting farm animals to learn about livestock early Boulder County settlers raised and take a tour of the homestead.

This special event is free and fun for all ages. It takes place July 20 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Walker Ranch Homestead.
